Hello and welcome to December.
The crazy period has begun where we think about our Christmas tree, Christmas shopping and what scrumptious delites we are going to serve our guests. Today im concentrating on the Christmas table. My favourite part of Christmas day is sitting around the table chatting, sharing and spending quality time with our loved ones before we slink off one by one for a snooze, swim, game of cricket or whatever your family does. (mine snooze)
Greenery and Gold was my colour palette. Choose a colour palette and repeat it. Be super organised and have a practice run to see if you need to add or subtract anything. Have 1 hero piece and add layers to this. In this case the greenery table runner was my hero. I am obsessed with styling with plants and greenery at the moment so it was a no brainer for me.
Leave plenty of space for wine, glasses and accessories. Candles are a must. Place cards are a handy idea and keep things organised on the big day. You may want to create some height so you could use vases of flowers instead, or baubles or candelabras.
Think of all the local creatives and retailers we have in Gippsland and show them some support this time of year. I have used Factory One Homewares Warragul, Hayley Marie Candles, Nerida from Warragul Flower Shoppe for the most amazing table runner I have ever seen. Harris Scarfe Traralgon, Kellie from Colour of Life Photography for these fabulous images and of course the light filled beautiful setting is the Kingbuilt Amberly Manor Display home in Drouin.
Thankyou to you all and Cheers to a Merry and safe Christmas xxx
