Wow can you believe its August already. Here are my hot tips for this month. Very Simple but effective.
Use Trays in the Bathroom. Gather up all your beautiful things, soaps, nail brush, rolled up face washer, succulent, or even some perfume and jewelry and pop them in a tray. You may already have a tray or stone plate, if not source a concrete round tray, timber rectangle tray, whatever suits the design and fit of your vanity top. Another great idea is to invest in some designer pump soap containers instead of the generic porcelain type. Aesop or Myrtle and Moss are right on trend and are refillable.
Styling in the Kitchen needs to be functional and practical. The Kitchen is a work space and doesn’t need vases and clutter. However this doesn’t mean it cant be ascetically pleasing. Use what you already have. Do you have beautiful cookbooks in the cupboard?? Chopping boards shoved away, or feature salt and pepper shakers??? If so get them out and make a simple vignette of all these things with a small plant or even another tray. I have all my favorite usable bits and bobs on a really large chopping board with a bowl of lemons.
What to hang on the walls??? Artwork is the obvious but there are all forms of art. You may like to use a macrame wall hanging, Wall baskets, Mirrors, anything that fits the spot and works in your house. A few tips hang them low, an average height persons eye should hit the middle of the art. Also think outside the box, you don’t need to hang them on the obvious wall above the bed. Hang them of to the side above the bedside table or even group them together in sets of odd numbers.
Enjoy and have fun x
